BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Recreation and Parks will extend hours of operation to Saturdays.
The new Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 36 of the centers and the eight B.A.L.T. Program.
The eight locations who’s hours already extend through Saturday, will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Baltimore City Recreation and Parks hired an additional 43 recreation leaders to accommodate the new extended hours.
The schedule upgrade is the first time most Baltimore City-operated recreation centers have operated through Saturday’s since the 1970s.
