Life is going along great. You have a great job. Raising a great family. Living in a nice house. And then life happens. You become homeless. It happens.

It happened to the Moore family.

Susan Marco is a guidance counselor at a Harford County school. She noticed a good student was not showing up for class. Susan found out she was homeless. Over the past few months, Susan has asked her friends, her family, her church to support the Moores.

They have had food drives, clothing drives, shoe drives. They have paid $370 a week so the Moores could live in Edgewood.

Right now, agencies have put Mr. Moore to work. They are searching for a job for Crystal. Their three children have been put into day camps.

But the words for their son Darius say it all, “God, he is going to get us through it. He loves all of us. He is going to bless us, we just have to wait for that time.”

The time is right to help this family. Please contact Sue Rattman with Family Support Services at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region at 410-836-7177 Ext. 320.
