The New Jersey state Supreme Court has ruled a lawsuit accusing TGI Friday's of violating state consumer fraud laws for charging different prices for the same drinks cannot go forward as a class action.
A southern New Jersey woman sued the chain after she was charged $2.00 for a drink at the bar and, later, $3.59 for a similar drink while sitting at a table.
The court left room for a similar case involving the company that owns Carrabba's Italian Grill restaurants to proceed.
