Men lose wedding rings while helping restore power in Tampa

Posted

Two linemen who spent days restoring power in the Tampa Bay area after Hurricane Maria, had the same unfortunate mishap: They lost their wedding rings.  But one got lucky and that's giving new hope to the other one.

The Tampa Bay Times reported that Michael White works for Pike Electric in Indiana. When he left Florida with his crew, he unknowingly left his ring behind in Brooksville. It had fallen to the ground while he was working.

Another lineman found White's ring on the ground and quickly asked his wife to post about the missing ring on Facebook. It was shared a few hundred times. A day later its rightful owner was located.

Meanwhile, Shawn Berry who works for Tampa Electric was also reeling. He, too, lost his ring. His wife took to social media, but so far no luck. But there's still hope. By last Friday posts about the missing ring had been shared more than 20,000 times.
