A T-shirt released by popular clothing retailer Forever 21 is getting quite a bit of backlash.

Social media went crazy after the brand put a graphic tee with a controversial quote on its website, with many saying the shirt blames women for rape.

The shirt says, “Don’t say maybe if you want to say no,” printed across the front.

Some took to social media, calling the shirt offensive, disgusting and “rapey.”

Forever 21 issued an apology saying, in part, that the company “strives to exemplify the highest ethical standards and takes feedback and product concerns very seriously.”

The T-shirt has been removed from the website.
