BALTIMORE — Many marked the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks with moments of silence and ceremonies.
In East Baltimore, volunteers commemorated the tragic day with a Day of Service. They went to work in the Oliver Community, planting trees, gardening, picking up trash and removing an old basketball court to make way for a nature play space.
Wednesday's Day of Service was organized by the 6th branch, a veteran led community service organization that helps veterans continue to serve their country by serving their city.
