REISTERSTOWN, Md. — WMAR-2 News is committed to improving the lives of Veterans in Maryland by shining a light on their stories, struggles and triumphs. Every week a local veteran will be featured in our Veteran Spotlight contest.

This week's nominee is Elias Bouloubassis of Reisterstown, who served in the Marine Corps for eight years as a Sergeant. He's also a former professional wrestler who won many titles under the name Golden Greek.

Today, Bouloubassis, works for the Federal Government as a Emergency Management Specialist. He also owns Sergeant Boul's Emergency Service, which is a company that teaches AED and CPR to health care professionals and other businesses.

In addition to what's above, Bouloubassis also assists other veterans in getting the benefits they need and deserve. He also makes it a point to honor fallen heroes at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery every Memorial Day.

He's a loving husband and proud father of three.
