BALTIMORE — Today New Chapter, The Warrior Connection and Paul's Place prepared and served hot meals to veterans.
They served a healthy breakfast and lunch complete with fresh organic fruit for dessert. The goal of this partnership is to raise awareness about the importance of helping veterans when they return from active duty.
"We're combining arms today to give back in a community on a day of 9/11 which is a day of honoring and remembering so many, specifically veterans and families that have been affected by the tragic events of the day and all of the events that have taken place thereafter," said Aaron Phillips, Executive Director of the Warrior Connection.
New Chapter is also making a monetary contribution to both Paul's Place and the Warrior Connection to help keep their programs running.
They're also providing vitamins and supplements to Warrior Connection retreat attendees and the nurse clinic program at Paul's Place.
