BALTIMORE — Today more than 100 veterans and their families in 60 cities across the country received keys to newly-refurbished cars.

It's a part of progressive's 7th annual Keys to Progress event. In Baltimore, retired Marine Joshua Gibson and his family got new wheels. It was refurbished by Sudden Impact South LLC.

About 40 perrcent of veterans live in rural areas where affordable transportation options are limited and have to travel far to get medical care, work and access to other services.

"Couldnt ask for anything more, everything that progressive has done for us today and the other companies that have been involved...it means a lot for us."

Progressive has worked to give more than 600 military families and organizations reliable transportation.
