The go-to snack for cash-strapped college students, ramen noodles have been called out in a recent study for being hazardous to consumers' health. According to Mayo Clinic research, the food can increase the risk of metabolic syndrome for women.

The study explains that BPA found in the food's packaging is known to interfere with estrogen.

The Journal of Nutrition says women who eat instant noodle products twice a week are the ones really in trouble.
