Suspect arrested in Laurel auto shop armed robbery

A Laurel man has been arrested this weekend for the armed robbery of an auto shop over a month ago.

On May 29 police say Barry Richardson, Jr. walked into the Napa Auto Parts store on Main Street armed with a gun, demanding money.

After following leads Richardson was identified as the suspect and was arrested on Friday without incident. 

He is being charged with armed robbery, robbery, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, and theft. In addition, he is being charged with possession of a handgun and CDS distribution related to his arrest.
