Study: Bed bugs gravitate toward dark colors

Bed bugs actually have a favorite color. A new study found the bugs like dark red and black, but did not like white or bright yellow.

Researchers put the bugs in petri dishes with little tents made of different colored paper. They quickly crawled to the black and red shelters, but stayed away from the white, yellow and green ones.

The study suggests that they acted this way because the insects don't want to be exposed.
