Former zoo worker charged, arrested with illegal possession of venomous snakes

A zoo worker, also known as "VenomMan20" from his YouTube screen name was arrested and charged with 23 counts of illegal possession of venomous snakes, animal cruelty, and reckless endangerment. 

According to the Maryland Natural Resources Police, 28-year-old Brandon Joseph Boyles had six Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, one seven-foot-long Forest Cobra, one Cape Coral Cobra and two Boomslangs in his apartment when officers conducted a search. 

Officers also found snakes in plastic bins and two dead cobras in a freezer.

Investigators were able to determine that upon leaving his job at the Catoctin Zoo and Wildlife Preserve, he took five venomous snakes, three alligators and a crocodile that he owned.

Boyle was charged with 13 counts of illegal possession of venomous snakes, nine counts of animal cruelty and one count of reckless endangerment.
