A woman was killed Tuesday morning while walking near the MARC station in Gaithersburg.
Montgomery County Police say 52-year-old Li Zhang was hit by an SUV around 6:44 a.m. near the railroad tracks in the area of East Diamond Avenue.
Police say Zhang was crossing South Summit Avenue at Wells Avenue when the SUV driven by Abidemi Etabuno D Udah, 29, hit her. Udah reportedly fled the scene, but later came back.
The tracks by the station were shut down as emergency crews and police were investigating.
