The Maryland State Police says a trooper patrolling for drunk drivers in Prince George's County was struck by an impaired driver, the second time the trooper has been hit by a drunk driver while on DUI patrol.
State police say 1st Sgt. David Ryan was patrolling Route 193 early Saturday when a driver struck his patrol vehicle.
Police say the 19-year-old driver who hit Ryan had a learner's permit and was arrested for driving impaired.
Neither the teen nor Ryan was injured.
