There were a number of beautiful and arresting photos taken in 2015 and shared by ABC2News.
The pictures range from a field of sunflowers in Jarrettsville (the gallery was shared more than 200 times) to emotional and dangerous moments captured during and after rioting in Baltimore.

1. Mom slaps sons during Baltimore riot – It was among the most viewed videos and most popular stories on the ABC2 News website in 2015: The image of Baltimore mom Toya Graham disciplining her son after recognizing him among a crowd of young people throwing rocks at police during the April riots. The video received 88 likes and 31 comments on Instagram.
2. Hugs and Handshakes – A video of police officers and members of the Baltimore community hugging and shaking hands was posted April 28 with no caption. The standalone video shared the day after rioting broke out in the city was a welcome sight to many. The video received 63 likes and seven comments.
3. Catching up with Toya Graham – Graham, her son and ABC2 photographer Manny Locke posed for a photo April 29 when our staff heard from them about the events of the week. Locke was the photographer who shot video of Graham pulling her son out of the riots. The image received 80 likes on Instagram.
4. Student Athlete – Student Athlete of the week Alex Roesner of Loyola Blakefield was a senior captain on the school’s lacrosse team at the time and had played varsity since his freshman year. The image received 77 likes on Instagram.
