One of two teens accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Rockville High School was due in court Friday.
Jose Montano, 17, had a preliminary hearing; his defense attorneys requested a delay.
He is now scheduled to be in court May 5.
Police say Montano and 18-year-old Henry Sanchez sexually assaulted a classmate in a bathroom at Rockville High.
Both teens are immigrants, at least one is here illegally.
The White House cited the case as an example of why President Trump wants to crack drown on illegal immigration.
Sanchez is expected to have a preliminary hearing April 14.
