A group of middle school students were caught on camera shouting a racist chant on a school bus.
A Montgomery County eighth grader recorded the incident, saying the students refused to stop chanting. She showed the video to her parents who immediately contacted school officials at Robert Frost Middle School.
Video footage of the children reportedly chanting, "One, two, three, four, how many n****** are in my store," has been shared on social media.
Principal Joey N. Jones released a statement saying the students were repeating words from an online video protesting racial profiling. Jones said parents were contacted and the students involved will be disciplined.
“While this experience has been upsetting, we will use this as a teachable moment for our community,” he said.
