Icy spots closed roads in and around Washington D.C. this morning and created traffic jams on others.
The icy conditions stranded drivers in their cars for hours after a clipper system dumped about an inch of snow over the area.
Virginia State Police had responded to close to 200 accidents as of 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
