PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the shooting death of a dog near Hancock.
The dog was shot in the chest with a crossbow on the porch of a home in the 13700 block of Orchard Ridge Road, according to the family who owned the dog. The owners found him on the morning of Oct. 21, badly injured.
He died before the family could get him to a veterinarian.

No arrests have been made. PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
