Under current Maryland law, if the police believe your money or property are used for drug activities, the police can confiscate your money or property and make you prove you are innocent.
Lawmakers are poised to override the governor's veto that would keep this law in effect.
Legislators from both parties, former police and those affected by this law came together in hopes of overturning this forfeiture law.
