A barricade situation involving a burglary suspect hiding out in the ceiling of a Greenbelt movie theater has ended, police said.
Prince George’s County police and Greenbelt police talked the suspect into giving up after about an hour of negotiating.
Police said they were trying to take the suspect into custody after witnessing a burglary when he took off and ran into an empty theater at the Beltway Plaza Mall.
The suspect climbed scaffolding behind a movie screen and hid in the ceiling.
Police said their main concern was getting the suspect down safely.
