ROCKVILLE, Md (WMAR) — Police are looking to identify a man in connection to a case where a 5-year-old girls pants were pulled down inside a public library.
The incident reportedly occurred on December 15, at around 6 p.m. at the Rockville Memorial Library.
Montgomery County Police say a suspect approached the girl in the library's children section and proceeded to pull the victims pants down and inappropriately touch her. The child screamed and told her parents who called 911.
While reviewing video surveillance footage leading up to the time of the incident, investigators noticed a man had been lingering in the children section for about thirty-minutes.
Detectives are considering the man a person of interest in the case and ask anyone who recognizes him to call them at 240-773-5448.
