Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash.
The department said, around 4:10 p.m. a pedestrian was crossing I-695 in the area of MD-295 when the person was struck in the far left lane of the beltway.
The pedestrian's body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
According to the state troopers, the reason for the person attempting to cross the road at the time of the crash is unknown.
The person has not been identified.
