A tanker truck has overturned in Anne Arundel County closing southbound Crain Highway approaching Route 175 in Gambrills.
Watch traffic reporter Lauren Cook's live update.
The overturned truck was carrying 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel and is leaking 20-30 gallons of diesel per minute. The Anne Arundel County fire department says the leak has now been stopped, yet hazmat crews are working to contain the fuel to prevent it from entering nearby waterways.
The driver of the truck has been taken to Shock Trauma, with non-life threatening injuries.
Motorists can expect heavy delays throughout the area.
