Officials identify the body that was found in Corsica River Sunday morning

On Sunday morning, the Maryland Natural Resources Police recovered a body from the Corsica River in Queen Anne’s County.

The body has been identified as 35-year-old Stephanie Meredith of Easton, Md.

On Friday evening, 17 people were on board a log canoe practicing for a race when they overturned on a sharp turn. 16 people were saved.
