Officers with the Charles County Sheriff's Office are being hailed heroes after springing into action to rescue a family from a fiery crash.
It happened on St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf last week.
"We could hear screams from inside the car, somebody just screaming for help," one officer said.
Officers dragged people to safety, and fought the flames to rescue to young children in car seats.
