Ocean City Beach patrol shared a video of a rescue on their Facebook page and not only has it brought attention to their hard-hitting job, but it has prompted them to bring awareness to safety.

According to Ocean City Beach Patrol, they have made 141 rescues on Monday, July 10 and made 84 the following day.

Emergency Rescue Services urge swimmers to be aware and on alert if you hear a lifeguards whistle. It may indicate that they are trying to communicate with you, especially in the case of a rip current.

They also want vacationers to keep in mind that when lifeguards call swimmers to their stand it is to relay important safety information.
