No charges in Frederick police-involved shooting

A state trooper who shot and a killed a man at a Frederick gas station won't be prosecuted.

The shooting happened at a Sheetz gas station last October,

The Frederick County State's Attorney's Office said 1st Class Officer William Jansen used justifiable force in shooting Kevin Brunson of Baltimore.

Jansen shot Brunson four times in a Sheetz parking lot after Brunson rammed a city police cruiser with a stolen SUV, and then lunged at Jansen.

It isn't clear if Brunson was holding a large folding knife police found in his possession.
