The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says its ready the snow.
The administration has more than 750 plows, 580 dump trucks, and more than 2,000 contractors ready to go.
All of the administrations won’t be deployed at once. The agency says it will monitor pavement temperatures and weather reports to determine how many crews are needed in certain areas.
"By midnight tonight, we're going to essentially have a state-wide crew in place," said MDOT SHA administrator Gregory Slater.
Throughout the weekend crews will deploy with salt and salt brine to treat roads. Emergency operators and maintenance staff will also monitor roads and patrol for any icy patches.
