The Maryland Senate unanimously voted today to try and crackdown on teen drinking parties.

The bill aims to increase fines to up to $5,000 and adds the option of jail time for those convicted of allowing underage people to drink alcohol at the home of an adult.

First-time offenders could get up to a year in prison.
