A Maryland man accused of trying to provide material assistance to ISIS is now facing additional charges.

A federal grand jury indicted Nelash Mohamed Das of Hyattsville of attempting to murder a federal employee, and using a firearm in a crime of violence. That's on top of the terrorism charge the 24-year-old already face.

Das is accused of plotting to kill a U.S. military member living in Prince George's County to help ISIS. He was arrested last year after he shared his plan with someone he thought would help, but was actually an FBI informant.

With the additional charges Das could now face life in prison if convicted.
