Drivers could get fined for pulling into an intersection when there’s no room if a bill passes in the Maryland General Assembly.

The “Don’t Block the Box” bill would apply to drivers who continue driving into an already full four-way intersection and blocking the traffic when the light turns red.

The fine could be up to $500.

A senate committee is holding a hearing Wednesday.
