MCHENRY, Md. (AP) - Maryland's only ski resort says it's opening for the season.
The Wisp Resort in McHenry said in a statement Thursday that four its 35 trails will open Friday, and eight more will open Saturday.
A children's terrain park will also open Friday, followed by the opening Saturday of one of the resort's three terrain parks for experienced skiers.

The resort says the cold weather has enabled it to make snow since Dec. 8.
Wisp General Manager Jerry Geisler says he's looking forward to a long, snowy winter.
