Maryland State Police say they were called to Interstate 70 at 6:46 a.m. Sunday for report of a serious crash.
Investigations revealed a 2007 Ford F-350 was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 when the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. As a result, the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver, Wilder Zepeda was transported to Shock Trauma and the front passenger, Nelson Tista, was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Troopers say there were two additional passengers in the rear of the vehicle at the time of the crash. One victim was pronounced dead on scene, and the other was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital.
Maryland State Police are will release the name of the victims after their families have been notified.
