Man killed in Montgomery Co. police-involved shooting

A man is dead after a police-involved shooting in Montgomery County.

Mongomery County Police were called to 10022 Stedwick Road in Montgomery Village around 11 p.m. Monday night after a report of a theft.

An officer called for assistance from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue shortly after arriving on the scene.

First responders found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man died at the hospital.

Police have not yet identified the man or officer involved in the incident.

They will identify the officer, a five-year veteran of the department, Tuesday during business hours.

The officer will be placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
