HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police say someone in a car shot and killed a man who was walking with a group to a Hyattsville park to play basketball.
Chief Hank Stawinski said at a news conference Wednesday that the 20-year-old man was with other residents of a group home for people with special needs Wednesday afternoon.
Stawinski says the group encountered a person in a car who got into an argument with the victim.
Officials say the person in the car got a weapon and shot the victim several times. Police say the young man died at a local hospital.
