A man was hit and killed by a DC Circulator bus while trying to cross I-495.
The crash happened at 12:30 a.m. on southbound I-495 north of MD Route 4. James Gibson, 79, was hit while trying to cross the road.
The bus driver immediately stopped to check on the man and called police.
Gibson was declared dead at the scene.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.
Gibson was reported missing shortly before the crash by Prince George's County Police.
