A man struck by a hit and run driver in Frederick Thursday night has died, police said.
Police said just before 9 p.m. officers responded to South East Street and commerce street for a person hit by a vehicle. When emergency crews arrived, they immediately began treating a seriously injured man. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment where he later died.
Police have not identified the victim pending notification of next of kin.
