A former McDonough student athlete turned Maryland Terps football player has died.

Jordan McNair passed away Wednesday after collapsing May 29 during an organized team workout. McNair had been hospitalized since the incident.

In 2017, McNair graduated from McDonough High School in Owings Mills.

Maryland Terps football coach DJ Durkin said the team is "heartbroken" and described McNair as an "incredible young man."

A Go Fund Me has been set up in support of McNair's family.
