Library reopens in Montgomery County

Local officials in Montgomery County are celebrating the reopening of a renovated library in Bethesda.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Saturday for the Montgomery County Public Libraries Little Falls branch.

The improvements include a new information and circulation customer service desk and a redesign of the children's area. A new chiller and roof also were added, as well as new carpeting. There also was a complete makeover of the restrooms.

Improved Wi-Fi and enhancements including a digital display and new energy-efficient lighting fixtures also were added.

The cost for the refresh project was about $1.1 million.

County Executive Ike Leggett was joined by Councilmember George Leventhal and Department of General Services Director David Dise at the event.
