A man is shot dead following a confrontation in Lexington Park.
On Wednesday just before 6 p.m., St Mary's County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Liberty Street for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, a 29-year-old male victim identified as Britain Jeremy Gill was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
Investigators believe the victim and an unidentified subject were involved in an argument leading up to the fatal shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
