Key Brewing hosts rally to stop brewing bill

Posted

Key Brewing will hold a rally Tuesday to stop legislation they say hurts Maryland breweries.

The brewery will be joined by the Brewers Association of Maryland, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot and other local brewers.

The groups are in opposition of a bill that would expand the amount of beer breweries can sell while limiting the hours breweries can be open to the public.

Craft brew supporters will email and call legislators asking them to amend the bill, which has already passed the House of Delegates.

The Maryland Senate will hear the bill at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tuesday night's rally will begin at 6 p.m. at Key Brewing Company, located at 2500 Grays Road in Dundalk.

The rally will be followed by a free yoga class at Key Brewing starting at 7 p.m.
