A home exploded and caught fire overnight near Rockville, according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire Department.
A home at 11400 Ashley Drive in Randolph Hills sustained “catastrophic damage” after an explosion took place and leveled the house around 1:00 a.m. Friday The fire is out though nearby homes were damaged.
Fire officials say the occupant is still unaccounted for; no firefighter or neighbor injuries have been reported. 75 firefighters responded to the scene.
Investigators are now on the scene.
