Gun-shaped knife, batarang confiscated at BWI

TSA officials confiscated a knife with a gun-shaped handle inside a carry-on bag at Baltimore-Washington International airport this week.

The knife made it onto the Transportation Security Administration's popular Instagram feed, which showcases the many bizarre items discovered in carry-on luggage nationwide.

n this crazy world of duckbilled platypuses, one could only expect the gun knife. This one was discovered in a carry-on bag at Baltimore (BWI). If you’re traveling with your gun knife, please pack it in your checked bag.

A batarang letter opener--fit for a superhero--was also discovered at BWI this month.

TSA warns travelers to pack these items in checked luggage only.
