Giant Food recalls SoyNut Butter after link to E. coli

I.M. Healthy Creamy SoyNut Butter has been recalled in Maryland Giant stores due to a link to an outbreak of E. coli.

Giant Food has removed this product from their shelves and has advised customers to do so as well if they have purchased this product.

The affected products have a UPC of 65498991010 and are dated with 8/30/18 and 8/31/18.

The company says most strands of E. coli are harmless, but others can cause illness.

 E. coli O157:H7 is a bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea, and those who have susceptible immune systems are at risk more than others.

Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
