Frederick Police investigate two separate bank robberies. Officials have made an arrest for one of them, and are still searching for another suspect.
According to police, on Wednesday afternoon they were dispatched to an M&T Bank for a reported robbery. Officers were notified that the robber left on foot and no weapon was displayed during the incident.
After an investigation along with the help of community members and witnesses, officials were able to identify and arrest Nicholas Alan Cahill-Lane.
Cahill-Lane is charged with one count of robbery, one count of theft, and one count of a false statement about a destructive device.
The second robbery also happened on Wednesday afternoon at a Capitol One Bank. Investigators have released a surveillance picture of the suspect and are asking anyone with any information or if anyone recognizes the person in the photo provided to please contact them immediately.
