Maryland State Police are investigating a crash which has left one man seriously injured.
Police say around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, a Frederick Maryland State Police trooper came upon a serious crash.
Investigations revealed a Nissan Frontier was traveling westbound on MD Route 26 when the truck struck the rear of a Mazda stopped at a red light.
The driver of the Mazda, Luther Long Jr. age 59, sustained serious life threatening injuries. Long was transported by aviation to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
The driver of the Nissan sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Police have not released the identity of the driver of the Nissan yet because the investigation is still ongoing.
Police suspect alcohol as a contributing factor in the crash.
