The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s office is currently investigating a Saturday morning house fire that left three residents displaced.

At about 8:25 p.m., Frederick County Fire and Rescue units were called to the 4900 block of Valley Pine Drive for a report of smoke showing in a single family home. A tanker task force was quickly requested as firefighters started an immediate, aggressive interior fire attack, while simultaneously searching for occupants. Fire was found in the basement and on the first floor.

It took about 25 minutes for 40 personnel to bring the fire under control. All occupants escaped the home before the fire department arrived and there were no civilian or fire department injuries.

The cause and damage estimate remains under investigation.
