The Maryland Food Bank is getting some help, from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation donated $66,000 to address food insecurity, or an inconsistent access to food, among individuals and families across the state.

Donations came from a program called 'Fill Your Tank', which is in its second year.

“We are excited to continue our support of the Maryland Food Bank this year as part of our on-going Fill Your Tank campaign, through which the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation has committed $60 million over six years to address food insecurity globally,” said Jeff Arney, Enterprise’s Human Resources Manager in Maryland. “The Maryland Food Bank’s leadership team continues to impress us with their passion for what they do and their broad reach that canvasses the entire state of Maryland helping people in need.”

In a release the Maryland Food Bank said, "We truly value Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s appreciation of our work as well as their commitment to helping us address food insecurity here and around the world,” said Maryland Food Bank President & CEO Carmen Del Guercio. “This donation will go a long way in supporting the one in nine Marylanders who need a little extra help to make ends meet this holiday season.”
